The 500 kV transmission project of Sichuan Lianghekou Hydropower Station is located in Kangding City and Yajiang County, Ganzi Prefecture. It consists of two parts: Lianghekou Hydropower Station to Xindu Bridge 500 kV line project and Xindu Bridge 500 kV substation interval expansion project. The length of the new line is about 2×71.5km, and the altitude of the line is 3450m~4500m. The operation of the project marks that the hydropower station with 295m earth dam, the third highest in the world, has been successfully connected to the main network of Sichuan power grid, meeting the needs of the first units of Lianghekou Hydropower Station for the operation of power transmission, providing a new power point for the Chengdu load center and the national "west to East power transmission", and realizing the optimization of clean energy allocation in a wider range in Ganzi.
